The BSJHS Parent Advisory Committee has helped to form into words some things that parents can do daily to help ensure the academic success of their students:

• Ensure that homework is completed daily or as assigned

• Monitor sleep habits and attendance consistency

• Look for volunteering opportunities at BSJHS (such as activity sponsorship, Career Day sharing, Watch Dogs program, etc.)

• Work to establish, support and maintain a positive working relationship of mutual support with BSJHS faculty and administration

• Attend Open Houses, student performances and events, teacher conferences if needed, and school meeting called by the school for informational purposes

• Attempt to remain informed about my child’s educational progress and opportunities by activating programs like Parent Portal and communicating with the school and his/her teachers.
